The Rolling Stones: 50, A Celebratory Exhibition At Somerset House

Somerset House is a breathtaking neo – classical building in the heart of London, positioned between the Strand and the River Thames. The house acts as a creative hub, encouraging inspiration and creativity among visitors. Acting as a platform for london’s visual and performing arts, there is never a shortage of excellent exhibits and events for everyone to attend and enjoy.

On the 12th July 1962, The Rolling Stones went on stage for the first time at the Marquee Club in Oxford Street London. 50 incredible years later, a photographic exhibition is taking place at the luxurious Somerset house in celebration of the band, their success and how far they have come.

With the chance to see incredible unseen and rare photographs of the band, this one-off exhibition offers the public a rare chance to peek into the lives of one of the greatest bands of all time. Including photography of wonderful live concerts, private studio sessions and intimate contact sheets, this glamorous exhibition offers the chance to trace the history of the band, following every step they they have taken.

Free entrance. Open from the 13th July until the 27th August 2012.
